FCC Environment Shows Its Commitment to Energy Management Through BSI Certification to ISO 50001

FCC Environment, a UK environmental services company, needed to strengthen its energy management, meet statutory energy-efficiency requirements, and reduce carbon emissions and costs across its waste collection and processing operations. To address this challenge, it turned to BSI for certification support, with a particular focus on ISO 50001 energy management as part of its wider integrated management system.

BSI certified FCC Environment to ISO 50001 across all sites, helping the company demonstrate best practice, improve compliance, and drive continual improvement. The results included more than an 18% reduction in energy usage per tonne of waste processed since 2014, lower energy costs, and stronger confidence from customers and stakeholders in FCC Environment’s sustainability performance.
