Environmental Management a Key Driver for ACO in Reducing Costs and Increasing Efficiency and Profits

ACO, the world market leader in surface water drainage, needed to demonstrate compliance with high environmental standards, meet legislation, and gain independent auditing while improving efficiency and reducing costs. To address this, ACO worked with BSI and adopted BSI certification services for ISO 14001 environmental management, alongside ISO 9001 quality management and BS OHSAS 18001 risk management.

With BSI’s support, ACO achieved ISO 14001 in just six months and later expanded to ISO 9001 and BS OHSAS 18001, embedding stronger environmental, quality, and health and safety practices across the business. The result was improved supplier and customer relations, clearer goals and responsibilities, better understanding of best practice, a more safety-conscious culture, and measurable gains in efficiency and cost reduction, helping ACO improve continuously and support growth.
