CSA STAR Certification is Boosting Assurance to Customers of One of the UK’s Fastest-growing It Service Providers

Pulsant, a fast-growing UK IT service provider, needed a stronger way to demonstrate cloud security and reassure customers beyond its existing ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications. BSI supported Pulsant in pursuing CSA STAR Certification, the cloud security verification scheme based on ISO/IEC 27001 and the Cloud Security Alliance’s Cloud Control Matrix.

BSI helped Pulsant with an initial gap analysis and then audited the company for CSA STAR Certification, ultimately awarding it Silver Level maturity. The result was improved cloud security controls, clearer customer-facing security assurance, and wider business improvements, including applying cloud controls to Pulsant’s general management network. Pulsant said the certification provided a powerful market differentiator and stronger confidence for customers, with measurable business value shown by supporting a company already growing at an average of 62% annual sales growth.
