Bridging an Access to Justice Gap with Automation

European Lawyers in Lesvos (ELIL) is an NGO providing free legal assistance to asylum seekers on Lesvos, Greece, where overwhelming demand, manual paperwork, and limited resources made it difficult to deliver timely support in the Moria refugee camp. To help bridge this access-to-justice gap, ELIL partnered with BRYTER and its no-code automation platform to streamline its case-handling and legal support processes.

BRYTER implemented an automated case registration system that replaced paper-based intake and manual spreadsheet entry, reducing human error and improving speed, accuracy, and data protection. The platform also created a foundation for future tools to gather qualitative feedback and provide preparatory information to asylum seekers; ELIL reports that its BRYTER-enabled process has saved significant lawyer time across thousands of cases and improved efficiency in delivering legal assistance.
