The Absolut Company - Customer Case Study

The Absolut Company, a major spirits producer and part of Pernod Ricard, faced a significant supply chain planning challenge. An expanding product portfolio with many slow-moving items, managed by a single planner using manual spreadsheets and an old ERP system, had become unsustainable. This led to stress, an inability to take time off, and difficulties in meeting the high availability demands of its global markets while also adhering to its lean and climate-neutral production commitments. The company turned to vendor Brookes Supply Chain Solutions and its service provider Optilon to implement ToolsGroup's SO99+ software to automate demand management and replenishment.

Brookes Supply Chain Solutions, via Optilon, implemented ToolsGroup's SO99+ planning system. This solution automated forecasting and replenishment for Absolut's entire range of 350 SKUs. The results included dramatically improved planner productivity, more stable delivery performance, and lower stock levels while still meeting service level expectations. The system freed the planner from manual processes, allowing for proactive analysis and stress-free vacations, and helped the company meet its environmental and efficiency targets.
