Delphi, a world leader in vehicle electronics and transportation components, needed to reduce inventory while maintaining very high service levels in a large-scale aftermarket parts operation. The supply chain team was under pressure to improve service with less safety stock across 59,000 stocked SKUs, about 17,000 order lines per day, and more than 700 suppliers. Brookes Supply Chain Solutions supported Delphi with SO99+ for demand planning, inventory optimization, and replenishment.

Brookes Supply Chain Solutions implemented a process where SAP R/3 data feeds a parts database and inventory file, and SO99+ applies analytic models to generate replenishment proposals that are finalized in SAP. This helped optimize inventory, in-transit stock, and safety stock while maintaining service levels. The results were strong: customer service improved from 91–92% to 98%, and inventory was reduced from $47 million to $43 million in the first year, saving $4 million.
