Case Study: Moffitt Cancer Center achieves faster radiology imaging and robust endpoint security with Bromium

A Bromium Case Study

Preview of the Moffitt Cancer Center Case Study

Bromium helps protect moffitt cancer center’s computer networks

H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is a leading NCI-designated cancer hospital in Tampa, Florida. The IT security team faced a critical challenge: Windows-based radiology workstations running GE-PACS were exposed to web and email-borne threats, but traditional antivirus software severely degraded image performance, slowing scans and impacting timely patient care.

CISO Dave Summitt leveraged Bromium—initially for threat analysis and then as a replacement for antivirus on more than 30 radiology machines—isolating threats without scanning image files. The switch restored fast image access, improved clinician productivity and satisfaction, streamlined SOC operations, and set the stage to extend Bromium protection to remote workers and share the approach with other hospitals.
