Pioneer Investments is a global investment manager founded in 1928 with about 2,100 employees and 2,200 desktops and laptops spread across 27 countries. Facing a rapidly evolving threat landscape—undetectable zero‑day malware, sophisticated watering‑hole attacks, and a highly mobile, dispersed workforce—CISO Ken Pfeil concluded that traditional layered defenses (firewalls, AV, patching, encryption) were no longer sufficient and sought better endpoint protection and richer threat intelligence.
