TasWater, the Tasmanian water and sewerage utility, was building a new social media engagement strategy and needed to ensure its activity met strict federal record-keeping laws and Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office (TAHO) guidelines. With social media becoming a more important channel for public updates and customer engagement, TasWater needed a compliant way to capture a rapidly growing volume of posts, edits, and deletions.
TasWater implemented Brolly, an Australian-designed social media archiving tool, to automatically capture all social media content across Facebook and Twitter, including original posts, edits, and deletions. Brolly integrated seamlessly with TasWater’s systems, helped the organization stay fully compliant, and supported a major shift in communications, including a Facebook audience of nearly 1,000 followers after launch. The company also gained a future analytics foundation to measure engagement during upcoming brand campaigns.
