RC Family Farms scales to 350+ farms and 1.5 million pigs a year with Brocoders

RC Family Farms, a major pork production contractor, faced significant challenges in managing swine health across its vast network of over 350 farms. Miscommunication between farm caregivers and veterinarians, relying on outdated paper-based reports, led to delayed responses to health issues and increased animal mortality. The company's founder, Chris Bomgaars, sought a real-time software solution to bridge this gap but found nothing adequate on the market, prompting the development of the EveryPig platform with vendor Brocoders.

Brocoders partnered to develop and refine the EveryPig web application, implementing core features like daily digital check-ups, a news feed, and electronic barnsheets. They tackled technical challenges such as multi-timezone support and offline functionality for areas with poor internet. The solution enabled real-time communication and data sharing, which helped prevent disease outbreaks and reduced mortality. Following the launch, the platform grew significantly and is now used by over 1,550 producers and veterinarians, managing over a million images for its AI-powered forecasting.
