Cybercom Builds Client Connections with a Brocade Ethernet Fabric

Cybercom, an IT consulting firm with about 1,400 employees across seven countries, faced aging network infrastructure in its Finnish data centers. The company needed higher performance and 10 GbE bandwidth, wanted to merge its separate SAN and Ethernet environments, and sought a simplified, more flexible architecture to reduce management overhead.

Cybercom deployed Brocade VDX 6720 and VDX 6710 switches running Brocade VCS Fabric technology and added NetApp storage, first testing alongside the legacy network and then migrating key components. The converged Ethernet fabric delivered a single, easy-to-manage architecture, improved performance and VM mobility, reduced upgrade time and operational complexity, and supported an expanding VMware environment.
