Brocade Multitenant Campus Network Takes Infraserv Höchst to the Next Level

Infraserv Höchst operates Industriepark Höchst, a 460-hectare industrial park near Frankfurt hosting more than 90 life‑science and chemical companies and 22,000 employees. Faced with a complex, aging IT landscape of some 50 separate customer networks and multiple management environments, the company needed a flexible, highly available, multitenant network to deliver critical services (VoIP, access control, high‑priority connectivity) and meet industry security requirements.

Infraserv standardized on a Brocade Next‑Generation Network—deploying MLXe core routers and NetIron CES switches with MPLS and Multi‑Chassis Trunking—to provide Layer 2/3 VPLS/VPLN services, redundant non‑stop performance, and simplified management. The new platform enabled affordable, differentiated services for tenants, improved resilience and compliance, and cut energy and maintenance costs by about 25–30%, offsetting hardware investments and supporting future park expansions.
