Metropolis Digital Media Ltd., a pioneer in taxi rooftop digital advertising, launched a large-scale rollout of 500 digital screens on London’s iconic black cabs starting January 2015. The company needed a reliable way to operate, schedule and report on a moving DOOH network that could deliver location-specific, dayparted campaigns and meet bespoke client and agency requirements as the network scales and expands internationally.
To meet that challenge MDM selected Broadsign’s cloud-based digital signage platform to power its Evolution 2 TXi Media Pods (two HD panels, 1920×440, 2,000 nits), which run 60-second loops of six 10-second slots and reach an estimated 3.36 million people every four weeks. Broadsign’s scheduling, reporting, geotargeting and dayparting capabilities enabled flexible campaign packages and agency integration; the network is set to double within a year, strengthening MDM’s advertising proposition across central London and supporting rapid global expansion.
