Mediplay, a provider of ad-free patient education and marketing for medical waiting rooms, partnered with Broadsign to solve a scaling problem: its 400-screen network (12 million annual views) relied on monthly, manual content updates that were labor intensive and unsustainable as the network grew. Using Broadsign’s Open API, Mediplay set out to give small and medium-sized practices a simpler way to manage screens and programming.

The result is Mediplay Connect, an online client portal that lets subscribers control displays and content loops, access a 600+ video library across 23 specialties, upload private media, use customizable templates, and send instant messages (with persistent date, logo and weather display). Built on Broadsign’s platform, the solution reduced overhead, enabled real‑time programming changes, improved patient education and facility communication, and positioned the network for scalable growth with strong vendor support.
