O’Reilly Auto Parts needed to simplify a highly complex eCommerce problem: mapping vehicle fitment to inventory across more than 5,000 stores and a catalog of 2 million SKUs covering over 300 million fitments, while supporting B2C and B2B channels, store-specific pricing overrides, and sub-second performance during peak seasons. Broadleaf Commerce was engaged, using its Unified Commerce solution to address these challenges.
Broadleaf Commerce implemented its Unified Commerce framework across Catalog, Content, Customer, Account, Cart & Checkout, Merchandising and Offer management, tightly integrating with O’Reilly’s legacy and in-store systems to deliver sub-second search across 300 million documents, store-level price overrides for every product, and the ability to handle hundreds of transactions per second. As a result, O’Reilly gained horizontal scalability to millions of SKUs, eliminated the need for a separate search tool, and now provides a uniform, optimized online and mobile experience.
