State of Nebraska Improves Efficiency of its Projects with IT Governance

The State of Nebraska, a healthcare-focused government body, faced a significant challenge in managing a high volume of projects across its departments, with two agencies alone generating over 1,300 initiatives. They needed a consistent and flexible framework to identify which projects to progress and improve overall governance. To address this, the state turned to Broadcom and its CA Project & Portfolio Management solution.

Broadcom's solution involved expanding the deployment of CA Project & Portfolio Management to cover both IT and non-IT initiatives. This provided a single repository for information and allowed the Project Management Office to apply uniform governance rules to all state projects. As a result, the State of Nebraska improved its control and visibility, which lessened both risk and costs.
