State Bank of India Drives Innovation and Growth in Collaboration with Broadcom

State Bank of India (SBI) sought to foster external innovation and collaboration by organizing a large-scale hackathon. The challenge was to securely provide external developers with access to its APIs and systems without compromising security or performance, requiring a solution that could support a demanding audience. To achieve this, SBI partnered with Broadcom.

Broadcom implemented its Continuous Testing solutions, including Service Virtualization and API Management, to create a secure and agile API ecosystem for the hackathon. This allowed SBI to virtualize its APIs and avoid using production data, while Blazemeter ensured high performance. The results were a highly successful event with 3,000 registrants and 480 ideas submitted. The hackathon led to new partnerships with startups, solidified SBI's reputation as an innovator, and prompted plans for quarterly events. Broadcom's solutions were pivotal in enabling this secure and collaborative environment.
