HCL Technologies Enhances IT Management Experience

HCL Technologies, a global IT services company, needed a modular and flexible IT management software platform that was scalable, had a low total cost of ownership, and could help deliver superior service levels to its customers. To address this challenge, they formed a strategic alliance with vendor Broadcom (CA Technologies) to leverage a suite of over 15 of its solutions as the backbone for their IT outsourcing and cloud services.

The solution implemented by Broadcom (CA Technologies) included products like CA Unified Infrastructure Management, CA Application Performance Management, and CA Service Operations Insight to create a centralized management framework. This allowed HCL to gain end-to-end visibility across its managed systems. As a result, HCL increased its IT management efficiency four-fold, reducing the number of server administrators needed from eight to two per 10,000 servers, and can now onboard new customers up to ten times faster.
