Budapest Bank replaces IT security infrastructure with help from Symantec

Budapest Bank, a major Hungarian financial institution, faced the challenge of completely replacing its IT security infrastructure following its sale to the Hungarian government. To meet this need, the bank partnered with Broadcom and its Symantec solutions to build a new, comprehensive security environment to protect its endpoints and data.

By implementing a suite of Symantec products including Endpoint Protection, Data Loss Prevention, and Endpoint Encryption, Broadcom provided the bank with a robust, multi-layered defense. The solution successfully protected all of the bank's systems from the WannaCry ransomware attack and a separate zero-day threat. This resulted in tightened security, lower costs, and provided the IT security team with the confidence that the bank's infrastructure and sensitive data were well protected.
