Britannia Development Company Bringing the Internet of Things to Property Development to Automate, Secure and Manage Smart Homes
Britannia Development Company, a nationwide real estate development firm, faced the challenge of managing a large number of properties with traditional methods that lacked real-time data and automation. To address this, they partnered with vendor Broadcom (then CA Technologies) and implemented solutions from the CA API Management portfolio, including CA API Gateway, to help secure and connect IoT devices for smart home automation.
The solution involved deploying CA API Gateway to integrate over 100 IoT devices and connect smart home hubs to backend applications, enabling centralized management and robust security. As a result, Britannia successfully automated and secured 50 connected properties, providing advanced real-time monitoring. With plans to scale to 100 homes, Broadcom's technology provided the foundation for Britannia to achieve a new standard in property automation and expand its IoT vision.
