Central Meat Processing Plant - Customer Case Study

Central Meat Processing Plant, part of the Defense Commissary Agency at the US Airbase Ramstein, needed a flexible ERP system to manage complex meat-processing operations while meeting strict U.S. Army security requirements. The plant also needed support for webshop order entry, production and purchasing planning, and integration with BIZERBA weighing, labeling, and scanning equipment. Brixxbox was selected to provide the ERP foundation and the hardware/software setup.

Brixxbox, implemented with partner Gebra-IT, delivered a configurable ERP solution based on “configuring instead of programming,” allowing the plant to map processes without unnecessary custom development. The system integrated previously isolated Excel-based workflows, gave management direct access to evaluations, improved employee acceptance through active involvement in configuration, and made handoffs and representation easier. Most importantly, the picking process became much more performant and efficient, with overall operations running smoother and leaner.
