Case Study: Redlands Municipal Airport achieves zero equipment thefts and tighter 180-acre security with Brivo

A Brivo Case Study

Preview of the Redlands Municipal Airport Case Study

An airport lands on a platform to tighten security at hangars and around 180 acres

Redlands Municipal Airport was losing avionics to a string of thefts but relied on a non-networked card system that produced no usable logs and had to be managed from six miles away. The airport—situated on an old rock quarry where new trenching wasn’t feasible—needed an affordable, remotely managed solution, so Redlands Municipal Airport turned to Brivo’s web-based access control platform.

Brivo replaced the legacy system with a cloud-based access control solution that uses existing infrastructure to enable remote administration, instant email notifications, and a digital audit trail. Since Brivo’s installation there have been no equipment thefts, the city saved $10,000 by avoiding new trenching, and public works and police can monitor and respond across the airport’s fenced 180 acres and multiple hangars within seconds.
