A Britehouse Case Study
Sasol needed a user-friendly system to integrate with SAP and help financial users manage reporting, rates, and project cost tracking for local and international work. The challenge was to reduce reliance on spreadsheets, improve coordination between Legal and Billing, shorten cost recovery delays, and support better decisions around cash flow and international tax processing; Britehouse was involved in the WorkSmart SharePoint-based solution.
Britehouse implemented WorkSmart using SharePoint integrated with SAP and a custom SQL database to enable search, PDF generation, document storage, and reporting. The solution gave Sasol a more comprehensive view of contracts and projects, improved projections and reconciliations before finalizing SAP figures, supported multi-currency costing and invoicing, and reduced human error by moving users off Excel.
