Barloworld Equipment needed a better way to track component rebuilds at its Barloworld Reman Centre, from disassembly through quoting, parts ordering, and completion, while keeping collaboration and supporting documents centrally accessible. Its old custom MS Access application had weak permissions, poor governance, and limited maintainability, so it turned to Britehouse for a more scalable planning and collaboration solution.

Britehouse implemented a new planning system on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 with Microsoft SQL Server 2012, using SharePoint sites, tasks, discussion boards, and email-enabled document libraries to manage jobs and store related information. The result was streamlined process management, improved visibility of rebuild jobs with measurable response and completion times, faster access to emails and documents, and a maintainable platform that can be extended in future.
