Jetty Builds Direct-to-Consumer Portal in Six Months

Jetty Inc., an InsureTech startup founded in 2016, set out to remove common renter barriers—full security deposits, lease guarantors, and buying renters insurance—by building an easy-to-use direct-to-consumer insurance website on an aggressive timeline. To support that vision the company chose Munich Re as its insurance backer and BriteCore as its core platform, leveraging BriteCore’s cloud-native, API-first technology stack (React/Redux/Python on AWS) to enable rapid integration and a modern user experience.

Using BriteCore’s platform and community-source codebase, Jetty’s engineers and design partners built and launched a customized web portal in six months, initially offering renters insurance in three states and expanding to 46 states within two years. BriteCore’s capabilities helped Jetty hit and surpass every sales milestone, accelerate product expansion, grow direct written premium and customer base, and support additional lines like condo/coop, umbrella and surety products.
