Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd faced growing challenges with large volumes of ERP data in SAP ECC, including the need to optimize transaction processing, explode BOM data at assembly and component levels, and identify buyer-wise excess inventory costs. Bristlecone supported the company’s SAP ECC and SAP HANA environment using an SAP HANA Side-Car approach to address these performance and reporting bottlenecks.

Bristlecone implemented real-time replication of key ECC tables into SAP HANA and redirected custom developments to read from HANA, while also deploying standard accelerators for the Material Management and Material Ledger modules. The result was a 60% to 90% reduction in program execution time, reduced load on ECC, and reports that once took too long to schedule now returned within a minute, improving end-user productivity and enabling better inventory cost analysis.
