Jack in the Box, a fast-food restaurant company with more than 600 locations, was struggling with high inventory variation caused by inaccurate forecasts, especially for new products with little historical data. The company needed a partner that understood the quick-service restaurant model and could improve forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and user adoption; it used Bristlecone and Oracle Demantra forecast tuning to address these challenges.

Bristlecone implemented demand forecasting for 1,500+ SKUs across 52 weeks and 3 warehouses, using Oracle Demantra, collaborative planning, and customized worksheets and training to improve usability. As a result, Jack in the Box saw improved forecast accuracy and promotion planning, better replenishment and inventory levels, higher service levels from warehouse to stores, and increased user acceptance.
