Case Study: Oracle achieves real-time SAP HANA data replication with Bristlecone

Integration of Oracle Goldengate with SAP Hana® Platform

Oracle needed to extend Oracle GoldenGate’s real-time data replication capabilities to SAP HANA and prove connectivity for an on-premise-to-cloud use case. The challenge was to build custom Java adapters and certify that Oracle GoldenGate could reliably replicate data from Oracle Database to SAP HANA, using SAP HANA on AWS as the target environment.

Bristlecone used its SAP Integration and Certification Center partnership to design, test, and certify the solution. Bristlecone created the custom Java Adapter, set up the Oracle-to-HANA test environment, and validated change data capture over JDBC in real time. The result was sub-second replication to SAP HANA and successful testing of 5 million records, expanding Oracle GoldenGate’s reach to an in-memory cloud database target.
