Hindustan Zinc, India’s largest and the world’s second-largest integrated producer of zinc and lead, was struggling with poor master data quality, duplicate records, unclear creation processes, and weak governance controls. To address these issues and support scalable master data management across the Vedanta group, Hindustan Zinc worked with Bristlecone using SAP MDM 7.1, SAP PI 7.1, and SAP EP 7.1.

Bristlecone implemented SAP MDM-based data governance policies to standardize master data, identify and consolidate duplicates, and improve authorization and control. With SAP PI integrating systems across the landscape and SAP EP providing web-based access, the solution delivered better data accuracy, greater visibility and accountability, lower maintenance costs, and well-governed master data processes for vendors, materials, customers, excise, and equipment.
