Case Study: Tennis Australia achieves streamlined Australian Open project management with BrightWork

A BrightWork Case Study

Tennis Australia implement BrightWork to Manage All Aspects of the Australian Open

Tennis Australia needed a better way to manage the large, varied workload of running the Australian Open — typically 60–70 active project sites spanning accreditation, media, umpire scheduling and more. Their existing oversight framework didn’t give Project Managers a standardized way to report progress, which made meetings long and meant major risks could go unnoticed. To address this, Tennis Australia implemented SharePoint together with BrightWork.

BrightWork delivered a simple, standardized reporting approach (initially a traffic‑light status model) across all project sites and was later extended to include formal risk management. The solution let the Australian Open focus group quickly spot projects in trouble, prioritize high‑risk issues, train staff in project processes, and streamline governance; Tennis Australia has used BrightWork to successfully manage three Australian Open tournaments to date.
