Schneider Electric Support Their Project Methodology with BrightWork

Schneider Electric, a global energy management specialist, struggled with an Excel-based project template used by 35+ project managers, version-control and macro-security issues, a legacy MS Project Server 2003 they wouldn’t upgrade, and a geographically dispersed PMO that made collaboration difficult. To address this, Schneider Electric engaged BrightWork and adopted a SharePoint-based solution (BrightWork V10 with Project Office Jump Start, later upgraded under software assurance).

BrightWork implemented SharePoint 2010 and later SharePoint 2013 with BrightWork v15 and Project Structured templates, portfolios and MS Project 2013 synchronization; today ~100 users (≈35 project managers, 15 managers and 50 project resources) access the system. As a result, BrightWork delivered improved project visibility and collaboration, immediate reporting and metrics, reduced email burden, internal customization of the Customer Project Process and six key metrics, and controlled template updates via the design sync feature, with ongoing BrightWork consulting for new reporting needs.
