Case Study: Triumph Group achieves enterprise-wide project visibility and governance with BrightWork

A BrightWork Case Study

Preview of the Triumph Group Case Study

Outgrowing SharePoint as a Stand-Alone Project Management Tool

Triumph Group, a global aerospace manufacturer, faced enterprise-wide project chaos after moving to a centralized “One Triumph” structure: local sites ran projects independently, leaving little portfolio visibility and causing missed deadlines, budget overruns, and stalled work. The IT PMO initially used on-premise SharePoint but quickly outgrew it and evaluated alternatives before selecting BrightWork (a SharePoint-native project management solution) to provide a familiar, enterprise-grade project framework.

BrightWork was deployed on Triumph’s on-premise SharePoint 2016, with a BrightWork Customer Success Architect guiding implementation and largely out-of-the-box configurations used to minimize support needs. The BrightWork solution delivered governance, automated approvals and workflows, robust reporting/dashboards, and simple scheduling that avoided extra MS Project licenses; Triumph now has ~150 named BrightWork users, has completed 9 projects and has 117+ projects underway, with 62% of those non-IT initiatives benefiting from improved visibility and prioritization.
