Camden National Bank Eliminates More Than 60% of Extra Project Documentation With the Aim of 100%

Camden National Bank, a midsize community bank with more than 650 employees and $3.9 billion in assets, formed an Office of Project Management (OPM) to standardize project work after rapid growth revealed inconsistent tools and documentation across IT, Operations, Retail and Commercial lines. BrightWork was recommended to provide a collaborative project management (CPM) solution on top of SharePoint to standardize project sites, templates and reporting across the enterprise.

BrightWork was deployed in late 2014 using out‑of‑the‑box and tailored templates, and was used to manage the Bank of Maine acquisition—prompting further customization of portfolio views and executive reports. The OPM mandated bi‑weekly status updates in BrightWork, expanded licenses from 100 to 150, achieved full executive adoption, and eliminated more than 60% of extra documentation previously stored outside the system (with a goal of 100%), improving version control and real‑time portfolio visibility.
