AmSurg standardizes project management processes with SharePoint templates

Amsurg, a national leader managing 245+ ambulatory surgery centers and more than 2,000 physician partners, needed a way to manage and track multiple medium-to-large projects that touched almost every department and required rollouts to 200+ centers. With little formal project management knowledge but an existing investment in SharePoint, Amsurg evaluated several options and selected BrightWork’s SharePoint-based project management templates and tools.

BrightWork provided pre-defined templates that Amsurg customized (for example, simplifying the Project Issues form and creating a tailored project-site template) to standardize project sites and processes. The BrightWork solution centralized project goals, documents, plans and issues, enabled portfolio roll-up dashboards and printable/emailable reports for senior executives, and delivered consistent templates and executive visibility—streamlining project tracking and reporting across the organization.
