Caracol TV, Colombia’s leading television network with over 15 million monthly news users, faced a need to cut costs and streamline a complex stack of content tools, hosting environments and editorial workflows while accelerating a digital transformation — a challenge made more urgent by the COVID-19 shift to remote operations. Brightspot migrated all content publishing for Caracol’s six sites in four months, centralizing workflows, permissions and media integration so teams can share and reuse assets and deploy features once across sites; Brightspot also trained Caracol to operate the CMS independently. The result: site traffic rose 20% in the first week, the Caracol team became largely self-sufficient (with ~99% of development handled in-house), faster digital launches, and measurable cost savings from fewer third-party tools and reduced development overhead — outcomes driven by Brightspot’s solution.
