A Brightspot Case Study
Brigham Young University (BYU) needed a better way to manage its growing web presence after multiple outdated content management systems created inefficiencies, inconsistent styling, governance and security gaps, and broken user experiences across departments and sites. The university partnered with Brightspot to replace its decentralized setup with a more modern, unified CMS platform.
Brightspot implemented a centralized Brightspot CMS with multisite and microsite capabilities, custom workflows, user permissions, and integration support to help BYU control content across the university. The results included improved efficiency, greater consistency, faster site setup, better governance, and easier content sharing, with measurable impact at scale: more than 900 sites, about 3,500 CMS users, and support for over 34,000 students and 1,800 faculty.
