A BrightSign Case Study

Preview of the Western Union International Bank Case Study

Western Union puts BrightSign in prime position in 40 German and Austrian branches

Western Union International Bank needed to replace manually updated exchange-rate signs in its 40 German and Austrian branches—rates change about ten times per day—while also modernizing branch appearance and using the same screens for advertising. After evaluating options, Western Union International Bank selected BrightSign and its PC-class BrightSign XD players to meet requirements for solid-state reliability, easy setup, cloud content distribution, and fast import of rates from text/XML files.

BrightSign supplied and Western Union International Bank deployed 58 BrightSign XD1230 players, configured with BrightAuthor and managed via the BrightSign Network; the system was rolled out to all 40 branches in 3.5 months (with one day of testing/configuration) and automates instant exchange-rate updates from the POS while scheduling region-specific and evening advertising. The BrightSign solution saved branch staff significant time, ensured always-correct rates, improved customer experience and appearance, used minimal bandwidth, and delivered an excellent return on investment.
