BrightSign XD Brings to Life Robert Wilson’s Video Portraits of Lady Gaga at the Musée du Louvre in Paris

The Louvre commissioned Robert Wilson’s “Living Rooms,” a large-scale video portrait installation featuring Lady Gaga, and faced the unusual challenge of presenting contemporary moving-image art within the museum’s historic galleries. BrightSign supplied its BrightSign XD solution to meet the project’s demands for high-quality, rock‑solid playback across multiple screens.

BrightSign’s XD230 digital signage media players powered 17 LCD and plasma displays, looping a 50‑minute video continuously during operating hours; integrator Dissident Industries handled production and installation while praising BrightSign’s reliability and video quality. The BrightSign-powered installation ran from November 2013 through February 2014, attracted significant attention and discussion at the Louvre, and delivered stable, uninterrupted playback across the entire exhibit.
