BrightSign Solid-State Digital Players Selected by Argo Tea for 50 Dynamic HD Menu Boards

Argo Tea, a Chicago-based specialty tea café chain, needed a reliable, easy-to-manage digital menu solution to simplify price and menu updates across multiple locations and eliminate printed accessory signage. To address this, Argo Tea selected BrightSign hardware and software—deploying 50 BrightSign HD1010 network-enabled digital players along with BrightSign Network Manager and BrightAuthor for content creation and scheduling.

BrightSign installed two HD1010 players per double-board display across 21 locations (50 players total), enabling remote, grouped updates of prices, menus and seasonal promotions from Argo’s Chicago headquarters. The BrightSign solution rolled out from pilot to company-wide deployment in under six months, eliminated separate printed signage, supported day-parting for automatic menu changes, and reduced power consumption dramatically (about 3–5 watts per player versus 70–90 watts for a typical PC), improving reliability and lowering operating costs.
