Robinson & Co. Limited opened a 200,000 sq. ft. flagship department store in Dubai — its first Middle East location and home to a 15,000 sq. ft. John Lewis concession — and needed a robust digital signage system to market over 500 brands, provide wayfinding, VIP messaging and a large video wall across three floors. To meet this challenge the retailer worked with digital media specialist DigiComm and chose BrightSign hardware and BrightAuthor software to deliver a networked, scalable signage solution.
DigiComm implemented a BrightSign-based system with 47 networked BrightSign players (XD233, LS423, XD1033) driving entrance 55” LEDs, a 3x3 video wall, brand columns, VIP screens and 49” touchscreen wayfinders, all managed via BrightAuthor on a central PC over a cabled/wireless LAN. BrightSign’s reliable, low-maintenance players enabled quick staff handover and intuitive content updates, delivering centralized control across the 200,000 sq. ft. store (including the 15,000 sq. ft. John Lewis concession), consistent promotional messaging and near‑zero failures in daily operation.
