BrightSign Powers Digital Signage in Latin America’s Largest Department Store

El Palacio de Hierro, the upscale flagship department store in Polanco and the largest in Latin America, completed a $300M renovation and faced the challenge of delivering a dramatic centerpiece and comprehensive digital signage across more than half a million square feet under tight time and budget constraints. Rather than traditional stained glass, consultants at Basha and vendor BrightSign implemented a modern LED-based solution, with BrightSign’s 4K digital signage media players specified to power the store’s new networked displays and interactive wayfinding kiosks.

BrightSign’s players manage content across the installation — including a 60-inch LED sphere, a full-ceiling LED display, a video wall of 20 55-inch LCDs, 19 90-inch atrium screens and multiple large LED displays — delivering a reliable, budget-friendly, and dynamic centerpiece that can be altered to fit any mood. According to Basha, BrightSign’s reliability enabled the team to assemble an eye-catching network that improves customer wayfinding and dazzles El Palacio de Hierro’s clientele, with the player network driving dozens of high‑visibility screens across the flagship store.
