A BrightSign Case Study
Ripley Entertainment, Inc., the global operator of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museums, needed a cost-effective, reliable way to update and unify exhibit displays during renovations and across multiple locations. BrightSign supplied the digital signage technology for this effort, including BrightSign HD210 and HD410 players for looping HD video and HD810 units for interactive exhibits, paired with BrightAuthor software to simplify content creation and deployment.
BrightSign’s solid-state controllers delivered plug-and-play HD playback, GPIO-triggered interactivity, synchronized video walls and themed experiences (like a kaleidoscope and moving-train simulation), enabling engaging, informative exhibits that run 24/7 without PC hardware. The deployment grew to 72 BrightSign players across six Ripley museums — including 25 added for the $5 million San Francisco renovation and 29 units at the Gatlinburg/Aquarium locations — improving visitor engagement while reducing installation and maintenance complexity.
