BrightSign and Red Dot Digital Media Overhaul Pala Casino’s Video Network

Pala Casino Spa & Resort sought to modernize its in‑venue video distribution after a legacy PC‑based multicast system suffered overheating, Windows errors and was limited to 480p. Working with integrator Red Dot Digital Media, the casino chose a purpose‑built BrightSign solution, replacing unreliable PCs with BrightSign media players to drive a more robust video network.

Red Dot and BrightSign deployed a two‑phase BrightSign multicast architecture—17 custom channels feeding 75 BrightSign LS423 endpoints with channel‑level XD1132, 4K1142 and XT1143 players—upgrading playback from 480p to 1080p, eliminating PC reliability problems, and enabling complex, automated scheduling via custom code and Crestron Fusion/UDP. The BrightSign implementation simplified content management, delivered consistent high‑resolution playback across the floor, and was completed on schedule and on budget.
