Costa Coffee, one of the world’s leading coffeehouse chains, needed to modernize in-store signage to improve the customer experience and deliver up-to-date, dynamic menus across more than 50 stores in Dubai (operated by Emirates Leisure Retail). BrightSign was engaged (alongside Mood Media) to provide the digital signage platform, using BrightSign XD232 players, BrightAuthor for content management and the BrightSign Network Enterprise Edition for secure hosting.
Mood Media deployed three-screen digital menu boards driven by BrightSign XD232 players—central screens for dynamic video and flanking screens for live menus—managed by Mood and hosted on the BrightSign Network. The six-month pilot was approved locally and by Costa Coffee’s global team, triggered an immediate roll-out across the UAE (around half of stores refurbished to date) and has led to talks to extend the solution across the GCC; BrightSign’s players and tools enabled a stable, scalable rollout with hundreds of XD232 units planned.
