Case Study: Urban Rider achieves multi-channel growth and lean inventory control with Brightpearl

A Brightpearl Case Study

Urban Rider drives traditional retail in a new direction

Urban Rider, founded in 2007 by Will Starritt and Andrew Taylor, is a London-based motorcycle retailer and bespoke bike builder that grew to over £1m in annual sales while operating both a New Kings Road shop and a Magento webstore. As sales expanded, the business struggled with disparate systems (Actinic EPOS for in‑store and Magento online), multi‑channel order and carrier management, and inventory control needed to optimise cash flow and scale without ballooning staff costs.

By adopting Brightpearl, Urban Rider unified orders, inventory and delivery workflows in real time, gaining clearer financial insight and the ability to keep stock lean while expanding channels (including eBay). Integrations like Interlink Express eliminated double‑entry and saved operational time, enabling a six‑person team to handle what once would have required many more staff and supporting new services such as same‑day delivery and fittings.
