A Brightpearl Case Study
Lush Longboards, founded in 2001 and based in Bristol, is a leading global longboard brand selling via Shopify, eBay, a physical shop and a network of distributors. Rapid growth exposed a fragmented tech stack—Sage for accounting, ACT! for CRM and Excel for inventory—which caused manual data entry, inaccurate stock levels, disconnected sales channels and poor cash-flow visibility.
To fix this, founder Chris Tanner developed Brightpearl and since 2007 Lush has run purchasing, order and inventory management, CRM and accounting on a single platform. The result is a unified database with real-time inventory updates, automated pick‑pack‑ship and invoicing, flexible price lists for B2B/B2C and multi-currency support, plus integrations with Shopify and MailChimp—improving visibility, efficiency and profitability and enabling nimble, sustainable growth.
