Jenny Bird, a Toronto-based modern jewellery brand founded in 2008, grew quickly into a multichannel business selling via two Shopify sites, a retail store and 80 wholesale partners. The company had been running operations on Excel “order central” and hit $4M in sales, but spreadsheets couldn’t manage multi-location inventory, forecasting or wholesale demand—leading to missed sales and an inability to scale. A large ERP proved too complex, so the brand sought a simpler, more fit-for-purpose system.
Migrating to Brightpearl gave Jenny Bird a single source of truth—integrating Shopify, their 3PL and wholesale platform and managing five inventory pools (retail, ecommerce and three wholesale regions). Brightpearl enabled proper planning and purchasing cycles, weekly forecasts, real-time financial visibility, faster end-to-end fulfillment without added headcount, and item-level COGS tracking, improving buying, pricing and markdown decisions and positioning the business for its $10M–$20M growth targets.
