The City of Waco, Texas — responsible for 32 school buildings serving a growing population of about 144,000 — faced aging facilities and needed a reliable way to track work orders, maintenance and deferred maintenance to build a compelling case for school replacement funding and better ongoing upkeep.

By implementing Brightly’s asset and maintenance management suite and cleaning/centralizing their data, Waco easily documented facility conditions and capital work, helping secure a $355 million bond and increase an insurance payout from $14M to $22M (+$8M). The software also justified hiring a six-person preventive maintenance team, drove proactive work orders from 4% to ~20%, and supported growth of the facilities budget from $500K to $3M annually.
