The Village of New Lenox’s Buildings & Grounds Supervisor, Matt Prynn, and his two-person team were managing maintenance for seven buildings (180,000 sq ft) using paper, Excel and Outlook—systems that provided no historical data and made preventive maintenance and work-order tracking unsustainable. Matt needed a structured way to capture assets, create recurring PMs and generate evidence to justify future staffing and budget requests.
They implemented Dude Solutions’ Asset Essentials with onsite setup support, quickly entering PMs, parts and work orders. In five months the team logged 752 work orders and created 50 PMs, gaining the data and reporting needed to analyze labor hours, track costs, improve maintenance consistency and build cases for additional resources.
