Sorell Council, a rapidly growing municipality in Tasmania serving about 14,400 residents across suburban, beachside and rural areas, faced infrastructure and development demands that outstripped its internal systems, asset data and resourcing. By implementing Brightly Assetic (initially via Managed Services and then transitioned to in‑house use) and integrating it with Microsoft Dynamics/Navision, Sorell achieved real‑time activity‑based costing, seamless work request-to-completion tracking and improved KPI reporting. The changes delivered a 132% productivity increase (1,267 vs 546 work orders May–Aug 2018), stronger audit compliance and more accurate asset and maintenance costing.
